HAMILTON
Go back to the era of the Founding Fathers with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s inventive
Tony-winning musical, and winner of 11 Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards.

Hamilton is the story of the unlikely Founding Father determined to make his mark on the new nation as hungry and ambitious as he is. From bastard orphan to Washington's right-hand man, rebel to war hero, a loving husband caught in the country's first sex scandal, to the Treasury head who made an untrusting world believe in the American economy. George Washington, Eliza Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson and Hamilton's lifelong friend/foil Aaron Burr all make their mark in this astonishing new musical exploration of a political mastermind.

“Hamilton' is the most exciting and significant musical of the decade. Sensationally potent and theatrically vital, it is plugged straight into the wall socket of contemporary music. This show makes me feel hopeful for the future of musical theater.”

WESTSIDESTORY The most exciting musical theater masterpiece of the 20th century. The most visionary theatrical talents of the 21st century. Is there any wonder it’s “the most eagerly-awaited production of the new season”? (NY Post) When four theatrical giants — Jerome Robbins, Leonard Bernstein, Arthur Laurents and Stephen Sondheim — created West Side Story, it was immediately hailed as an "indisputable, boundary-busting masterpiece” (The New York Times) that “explodes every imaginable idea of what a musical can be” (New York Magazine). Now, three of the most daring theater-makers of our time — director Ivo van Hove (A View From the Bridge and The Crucible), choreographer Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, and designer and frequent Van Hove collaborator Jan Versweyveld — offer a radical, thrilling new interpretation of this iconic work, with extraordinary dancing, breathtaking vision, and 23 young, brilliantly gifted performers all making their Broadway debuts. Don’t miss this opportunity to see a landmark in musical theater history as if for the very first time.

When the world stopped, their stories moved us all.

Come From Away is based on the true story of when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon. What started as an average day in a small town turned in to an international sleep-over when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from across the globe, were diverted to Gander’s air strip on September 11, 2001.

The characters in the musical are based on real Gander residents as well as some of the 7,000 stranded travelers they housed and fed. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Q: What Does "Come From Away" Mean? A: Native Newfoundlanders refer to those not born on the island as "Come From Aways". The travelers who landed in Newfoundland on diverted planes were said to have "Come From Away".

EXPERIENCE THIS UNIQUE NEW PART OF NEW YORK CITY

Hudson Yards, a series of towers built cantilevered over a swath of rail yards, is located on the far west side of Manhattan. What you’ll find at Hudson Yards is a true novelty even amid New York City’s constant change: a brand-new neighborhood. The complex comprises offices, apartments and a hotel, as well as some of the City’s newest must-see attractions, restaurants and shops. Climb the Vessel (or take the elevator - they leave every 15 minutes.

Enjoy lunch, on your own, and have time for shopping at Hudson Yards before walking the High Line with your Tour Guide.

High Line Park was created over the rail tracks that used to deliver goods to factories and warehouses in the city. It was designed to mimic the natural plant growth that occurred over the rails when the tracks were no longer being used. Modeled after the Promenade Plantee in Paris, this abandoned raised railway has created NYC’s most original and spectacular public space. It features beautiful views, over 350 species of trees and plant life, shallow pools, lounge chairs, art installations, food stands, shopping and various historical points of interest, and gives you a new perspective in how you see New York.

At the National Biscuit Company complex, begun in the 1890s in what is now west Chelsea, the ovens baked everything from Saltines to Oreos, and has now been turned into a food hall! To walk through the Chelsea Market is to stroll through a sort of postindustrial theme park interspersed with food stores and restaurants. The market, in addition to having some of the best food vendors in the city, also has a handful of unique shops as well. Pick up some nice treats, and enjoy some great shopping.

Wear comfortable walking shoes!

Saturday - May 23, 2020
Price:

NORTH_COUNTRY Bob Dylan’s inimitable songbook is authentically transformed into this achingly beautiful story of a down-on-its-luck community on the brink of change in Duluth, Minnesota in 1934.

A time-weathered guesthouse in the heartland of America. Only a song can shake off the dust for one group of wayward souls—and old dreams may hold the promise of new beginnings. As they pass in and out of each other’s lives, their stories awaken with passion, fury and extraordinary beauty.

Reimagining the music of Bob Dylan as roof-raising ensemble pieces and soul-stirring solos, celebrated playwright Conor McPherson (The Weir, The Seafarer) writes and directs this heartbreaking and universal story about family and love.

GIRL FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY is a breathtaking new show that Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls “A Ravishing Production. You may find yourself thinking that this is as close as mortals come to heaven on Earth.”

Peter Marks from the The Washington Post calls it “A Triumph. Gorgeous, Thrilling and Moving.”

HAMILTON
Go back to the era of the Founding Fathers with Lin-Manuel Miranda’s inventive
Tony-winning musical, and winner of 11 Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards.

Hamilton is the story of the unlikely Founding Father determined to make his marok on the new nation as hungry and ambitious as he is.

NORTH_COUNTRYBob Dylan’s inimitable songbook is authentically transformed into this achingly beautiful story of a down-on-its-luck community on the brink of change in Duluth, Minnesota in 1934.

You may find yourself thinking that this is as close as mortals come to heaven on Earth.” Peter Marks from the The Washington Post calls it “A Triumph. Gorgeous, Thrilling and Moving.” And Barbara Schuler from Newsday wrote: “A Gripping Drama that Defies Categorization.”
