Begin your day with an overview tour of Pittsburgh. Steel and coal may have built this city, and you'll see the names "Mellon" and "Carnegie" on an awful lot of things, but Pittsburgh has come a long way from its gritty, industrial past.

Included in today’s tour will be a visit to the Pittsburgh Glass Center. Pittsburgh Glass Center is located in Pittsburgh's East End neighborhood of Friendship/Garfield, approximately four miles east of the Strip District in downtown Pittsburgh. You will enjoy a narrated glassblowing or flame working demonstration. Watch artists gather, shape and blow amazing works of art.

Late afternoon:
Take an exciting ride up the Duquesne Incline to the top ofMt. Washington. At the time of its public opening, it was one of four inclined planes serving the summit of Coal Hill, which later came to be known as Mount Washington.

Return to your hotel to relax and refresh.

Dinner is included tonight at The Grand Concourse.

"Housed in the beautifully preserved Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad Station, the Grand Concourse restaurant at Station Square is a true testament of grandeur and elegant dining. With a cathedral stained-glass vaulted ceiling, marble columns, and a dramatic staircase, guests are quickly transported to the glamorous side of the Progressive Era with the luxury of a modern day menu." This is an award-winning seafood restaurant boasting a fine selection of signature seafood dinner specials, tender steaks, and poultry.

Day 3 - Tuesday, September 25, 2018
Breakfast included at your hotel. Pack bags for departure.

This morning visit Carrie Furnaces and tour the Rivers Of Steel National Heritage Area.
[Requires walking and comfortable footwear] This tour very meaningful and highly rated.

Towering 92 feet over the Monongahela River, Carrie Furnaces 6 and 7 are extremely rare examples of pre-World War 11 iron-making technology. Take a fascinating look behind the scenes of the iron and steel-making process, discover what it was like to work in a blast furnace, and find out the ethnic origins of much of Pittsburgh’s popular food and cultural traditions.

Next, you will proceed from mills to mansions as you tour one of the finest Victorian mansions in the Country: Clayton, the family home of famed steel industrialist Henry Clay Frick, located at the Frick Art & Historical Center. Experience the culture and refinement of the Gilded Age of steel heritage amidst the beautifully landscaped gardens in the Point Breeze neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Included on the grounds is an art museum and historic car and carriage collection.

Enjoy lunch on your own.

This famous house is built over a waterfall that was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935 and is an architectural masterpiece, and on the Smithsonian Magazine’s list of "28 Places to See Before You Die".
