We are so excited to be going back to this gorgeous part of the world, this time in the winter season. Imagine the beauty of Helsinki, the intrigue & transquil beauty of Lapland in Finland, where our *accommodations will feature glass ceilings so you can lie in bed and watch the Northern Lights, sail from Kirkenes down the jaw dropping scenery of the Norwegian coast on a working ship (newly renovated in a classic Norwegian style) with an engaging Expedition Team offering lectures on board, daily sightseeing & award winning cuisine included – perhaps sit by the fireplace in a cozy lounge surrounded by some of the most magnificent scenery on earth, discover or re-discover the beauty of Bergen, Norway surrounded by water and mountains, fly to Iceland to discover this stunning land of glaciers, volcanoes & scenery like we have never seen and experience the radiant powers of geothermal seawater in the heart of a volcanic landscape.

We felt like we were on the moon!

Our adventure will include 3 nights in Finland, 6 or 7 nights in Norway (5 nights on cruise) and 3 nights in Iceland. This time we will be sailing on the “new” MS OTTO SVERDRUP (formerly Finnmarken) a sustainable vessel which is being totally upgraded, all new as of summer 2020. Imagine natural Scandinavian minerals like granite, oak and birch wood used in the ship’s renovation. Perhaps you’ll indulge in the new Wellness area, gym, lounge, treatment rooms? We plan to include a gourmet meal and spa experience at the world famous Blue Lagoon before our flight back to the U.S. from Iceland.

Tentative dates are: November 7 – 22, 2020

*(Most of our reservations are made so we are underway. Just waiting for a few more details before we have the final pricing.)

We should have a better idea of pricing towards the middle of January, after we get back from our next 3 trips: Italy (Oct 14-28, 2019); European Christmas Markets (Dec 3-10, 2019); Indonesia, Bali & Singapore - (Dec 15 - Jan 14, 2020) and before Winter Carnival in Switzerland (Feb 28-Mar 6, 2020). See more info below! For those of you who have traveled with us before on Hurtigruten and have already requested this trip, you know how fast it sold out last time, almost within 24 hours. We can only take a limited number due to accommodations in Lapland. We have already over 100 on a first to know list and can only take about 30. So please be prepared to send a $2500 per person deposit ASAP, once we give you our forward final pricing. This is definitely a trip of a lifetime with superb experiences and some of the most incredible scenery on earth! We figure the time is NOW to see more of that breathtaking world out there!
