BKLYNBOTGARD CHERRY_BLOSSOMS Cherry Blossom Time in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is absolutely breathtaking! This is a splendid time for a visit here.

You will have a 1½ hour tour of the spectacular Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

The Cherry Blossom is the national flower in Japan. It is believed to symbolize the life of the Samurai which, like the flower, is short-lived. The beauty of this Japanese icon is well represented at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, with more than 200 trees of 42 varieties blooming in different parts of the garden.

Temperature, precipitation, and other variations in weather all contribute to the timing of the blooms. No one tree remains in flower for more than a week, and there is no moment when all are blooming at once. Instead, different species and cultivars blossom in succession, allowing many opportunities to savor the season.

Lunch is on your own in the Garden! There is the Coffee Bar located in the Visitor Center adjacent to the Atrium. They serve soup, sandwiches, fresh pastries, snacks & beverages. Also the Yellow Magnolia Canteen on the terrace by the entrance to the Steinhardt Conservatory, serving a variety of fresh sandwiches, soups, salads and snacks. And, in addition, if you are looking for full-service dining, the Yellow Magnolia Café offers a wonderful menu in a bright, airy café overlooking the Garden’s Lily Pool Terrace. To make a reservation call: 718-307-7136.

Tour package includes: Admission to the garden, tour, and deluxe round-trip transportation.

IMAGE DESCRIPTION Experience the stunning artistry, unforgettable music and the exhilarating choreography of Disney’s The Lion King. Now is the time to join the circle of life at Broadway’s award–winning Best Musical.

"With a pulsing spectacle driven by primal African rhythms, unforgettable tunes (including Elton John and Tim Rice’s Oscar-winning "Can You Feel the Love Tonight") and a jaw-dropping display of exotic African wildlife brought to life onstage, there are good reasons why The Lion King won a half-dozen Tony Awards in 1998. Intensely physical stage work and countless visual surprises hold your attention from start to finish.

" "Awe-inspiring! Broadway theatre is alive again. [Julie] Taymor's imaginative ideas seem limitless. It is a gorgeous, gasp-inducing spectacle. Most important - against all odds - it has innocence. The show appeals to our primal, childlike excitement in the power of theater to make us see things afresh."

When the world stopped, their stories moved us all!

Come From Away is based on the true story of when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon. What started as an average day in a small town turned in to an international sleep-over when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from across the globe, were diverted to Gander’s air strip on September 11, 2001.

The characters in the musical are based on real Gander residents as well as some of the 7,000 stranded travelers they housed and fed. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Q: What Does "Come From Away" Mean?
A: Native Newfoundlanders refer to those not born on the island as "Come From Aways". The travelers who landed in Newfoundland on diverted planes were said to have "Come From Away".

Please note that Hampton Jitney is not responsible for cast changes at any Broadway Show.

YOU ARE IN FOR A FUN-FILLED DAY AT THE EASTERN STATES EXPOSITION IN WEST SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS

There are hundreds of craft exhibits, fascinating demonstrations of 19th century crafts, great shopping opportunities, livestock, and genuine world class entertainment like concerts, parades (at 5:00 p.m. get involved in The Big E Mardi Gras Parade - an authentic New Orleans celebration with traditional floats, costumes, beads and music), and their world-class circus is magnificent (get on line early to see major acts from around the globe). There is something here for every one of all ages.

This is a great opportunity to experience all six New England states at once along the Avenue of States, where you will find models of the original State Capitol Buildings. Sample the culinary products and other wares, from each state. This is the only fair in the nation where more than one state participates. Visit these impressive replicas of each New England state’s original statehouse sitting on land actually owned by that state.

Souvenir Programs are sold at all entrance gates and also available at all Information Booths. The cost is $5 and it is very worthwhile for planning your day - it has the schedule of all the events for each day, an invaluable map and of course, it’s a wonderful souvenir!

And for delicious cream puffs (and eclairs), make sure you stop to pick up some to take home at the Cream Puff Bakery in the New England Center before you depart! (or at any time of the day for a treat)

Tour package includes: Admission to the Big E, and deluxe round-trip transportation.
