YANKEES REDSOX
‘Take me out to the Ball Game, Take me out to the Crowd’…. Well, Hampton Jitney is going to do just that!

The Yankees–Red Sox match-up is regarded by some as the greatest rivalry in sports. In 1919, Red Sox owner Harry Frazee sold star player Babe Ruth to the Yankees, which was followed by an 86-year period in which the Red Sox did not win a World Series. This led to the popularization of a superstition known as the "Curse of the Bambino", which was one of the most well-known aspects of the rivalry.

You won’t be disappointed, so come on out for a great baseball game.

MADAVA FARMS (HOME OF CROWN MAPLE SYRUP) TOUR, TASTING, LUNCH & MORE! [SF]
Date(s):
Wednesday – August 23, 2017
Price:
Desc.:
MADAVA MAPLEFARMStart the day by touring the country's most advanced maple syrup facility, and taste why Crown Maple's certified organic syrup has been called quite possibly the purest on earth and featured on both The Martha Stewart Show and NBC's morning show Today. Madava Farms is an absolutely beautiful backdrop for a memorable experience.

Have a delicious farm fresh meal prepared especially for you by Crown Maple’s Culinary Institute of America chef.

Savor a guided three-stage tasting in a newly designed tasting room which offers a full view into Crown Maple's hand bottling and sugar making operations. Shop for some freshly bottled syrup and other delicious treats to take home.

Next, travel to Innisfree Gardens in Millbrook for a guided tour. "Recognized as one of the world’s ten best gardens, Innisfree is a powerful icon of mid-twentieth century design. Over fifty years in the making, it is the work of landscape architect Lester Collins. This sweeping landscape merges the essence of Modernist and Romantic ideas with traditional Chinese and Japanese garden design principles in a form that evolved through subtle handling of the site and slow manipulation of its ecology. The result is a distinctly American stroll garden — a sublime composition of rock, water, wood, and sky achieved with remarkable economy and grace".

Lastly, travel to Adams Fairacre Farm in Poughkeepsie. Family owned and established in 1919, the store was built on the site of the original Adams farm. Visit Mark Adams Greenhouses, a five-acre complex of greenhouses where they grow a variety of bedding plants, perennials and poinsettias. Stop by Adam's Cafe & Icecream Parlor for a sweet treat or large variety of freshly prepared foods for the ride home after this exciting day.

BANDSTAND Laura Osnes and Corey Cott star in this new musical set amidst the 1940s swing scene. Set in the smoke filled, swing fueled night clubs of 1945, Bandstand brings the against-all-odds story of singer/songwriter Donny Novitski and his band of mismatched fellow WWII veterans to the stage. When a national radio contest to find America’s next big swing band offers a chance at instant fame and Hollywood fortune, Donny must whip his wise-cracking gang of jazzers into fighting shape. Teaming up with the beautiful young war widow Julia as their singer, they struggle to confront the lingering effects and secrets of the battlefield that threaten to tear them apart.

Playing for every voiceless underdog in a world that has left them behind, they risk everything in the final live broadcast to redefine the meaning of victory. 2018 PHILADELPHIA FLOWER SHOW - CELEBRATE THE WONDERS OF WATER! [SF]

Saturday - March 3, 2018

2018 THEME: "WONDERS OF WATER"

Philadelphia Flower Show is the world's longest-running and largest indoor flower show and the 2018 Flower Show will amaze you with incredible large-scale displays, elaborate gardens and extravagant floral creations.

Water is a very important issue around the world right now, so we can presume there will be conservation topics and anticipate lots of fountains, ponds and other water features. Philadelphia’s Water Department is also involved in increasing green, stormwater-absorbing spaces across the city, so expect some rain gardens that reflect their ongoing work, too.

There are acres of gardens, thousands of artistic floral and horticultural displays, more than 180 exhibitors in the Marketplace, live entertainment, interactive exhibits, a Make & Take workshop, and gardening and culinary demonstrations throughout the day.

*We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes to explore the 10 acres of colorful floral displays*

NOTE: Food is available at the Flower Show throughout the Pennsylvania Convention Center. There are Snack Bars at the rear of the main exhibit hall, and full dining services located on Level 3 above the exhibition halls in the Overlook Café (a nice place to take a rest, too). You will also find numerous restaurants in the area immediately surrounding the Convention Center, including Reading Terminal Market (Philadelphia’s historic farmers market) an exhilarating selection of baked goods, Amish specialties, meats, poultry, seafood, produce, flowers, ethnic foods, cookware and eclectic restaurants are interspersed throughout the Market. There are also several restaurants in nearby Chinatown.

Tour package includes: Admission to the Flower Show and deluxe round-trip transportation. Not included: Gratuities for motor coach driver and tour escort, which is left to your discretion.

Depart:
7:00 AM Southampton At the OMNI on County Road 39A, across from the Southampton Car Wash.
